THE real estate market in the Fraser Valley experienced the busiest market
in more than a decade, with 18,351 sales processed. Sales were up 13.9%
from 2002, and up a whopping 75.3%from five years ago in 1998. Total
dollar volume of sales was 4.7 billion, an increase of 23 per cent from
2002.
The average year-to-date price of a single –family detached house in the
Fraser Valley rose $30,000, an increase of 10.9 per cent to $301,121.
Townhouses sold for an average year-to-date price of $190,487, an increase
of $5,700 or 3.1% from 2002. The average condo price went up $10,000 in
one year, from 2002 year-end figure of $112,317 to $122,691 by this year
end.
